What is Freedom of Speech? Criticism or Humiliation

Few years back, I met my relative and we were talking at the TV lounge and at that time news flashed on the TV screen about Rimsha Masih arrested on blasphemy charges. My relative informed me that she is innocent and somebody wrongly accused her for his own agenda. He concluded his arguments and gave his final verdict that Blasphemy laws of Pakistan are wrong and should be abolished.  Some of his arguments against blasphemy law are:

• Blasphemy laws are misusing by clerics for their own agenda.
• Anyone can accuse others for blasphemy and defame them.
• Death penalty for blasphemy is barbaric.
• It is against the freedom of speech and expression.

Whenever I have talk to liberal, secular or atheist people, they gave all the above arguments and the basis of them; they dismiss blasphemy laws of Pakistan. Problem with this kind of people is that they simply can’t or don’t want to understand what the respect is and honor means. In the west, people really don’t know the difference between “criticism” and “humiliation” when it comes to God, religion, religious beliefs, holy text and religious personalities but they simply don’t want to hear anything about their beliefs and themselves. What kind of double standard people are they?

Humiliation of religious figures like Jesus (Peace be upon him) is common in America and Europe, that is why they were amazed and shocked when Charlie Hebdo (a French magazine, published blasphemous cartoons) staff members were assassinated by Muslims shooters. They called it "attack on freedom of speech." Actually, that was attack on "Hate speech" that hurts the emotion and feelings of Muslims around the world. These type of hate speakers are the real terrorists.

No one has the right to humiliate others, their beliefs, their holy books and their religious figures but everyone has the right to criticize other in a well-mannered way with logical arguments. If I am a Muslim then it doesn’t mean that now I have the right to humiliate other religions and their gods and goddesses.

But the stupid liberal, secular and atheist people think that they have the complete right to bark against Allah, Islam, Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him) and Quran in a very humiliating way and they call it “Freedom of Speech”. What do they want to prove by using abusing language that they are highly educated ignorant and idiots? They do know the truth but they don’t want to accept the truth because of some worldly pleasures and desires. They are deaf, dumb and blind as mentioned in Quran:

Allah hath sealed their hearing and their hearts, and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be an awful doom.(Al-Baqarah 2:7)

Their likeness is as the likeness of one who kindleth fire, and when it sheddeth its light around him Allah taketh away their light and leaveth them in darkness, where they cannot see, Deaf, dumb and blind; and they return not. (Al-Baqarah 2:17-18) 

I agreed that some black sheep are using these laws for their own interest and agenda but we cannot dismiss the law because those few culprits. If blasphemy laws are misusing by some criminal minded people than all the laws should be banned because almost every law has been misused by such people. I explained it with a very simple example to my relative that I can misuse the law for theft by wrongly accusing you and file an FIR and then police arrests you. What would you say at that moment, law for theft should be abolished because it was misused against an innocent person? Certainly not, then why are you against the blasphemy laws? I am asking the same question to all the liberal and secular people.

Every law can be misused to defame a person or for a personal vendetta but it is the duty of our investigation agencies and department of Police to investigate the matter properly and the judicial proceedings should be transparent.

People “enlightened” from western ideology always raise questions about the death penalty for blasphemy because they have no emotional attachment towards religion and the holy prophet (Peace be upon him) and other prophets. They first become secular and then ultimately become an atheist because in secularism, religion and state are two separate things and religion has noting to do with people's affairs. Why would someone follow a religion and pray God who has noting to do in his life, that leads to atheism. That is why there is no reason they have to respect God, Religion, holy text and Holy Prophets. In the contrast, a true Muslim loves holy prophet (peace be upon him) more than he loves his parents. 

If someone’s parents are being abused then it is natural that he will react strongly even so called open-minded liberals will not tolerate such act of abusing towards their parents and they will react more strongly than a religious person. 

That reminds me a person named Dr. Shazia Nawaz, a Pakistani born American doctor. She runs a Facebook page with lots of anti-Islam and anti-Pakistani posts. First, I tried to convince her with logic and valid arguments but she is a perfect “Deaf, Dumb and Blind” case. She posted a picture of Quaid-e-Azam on her page, portraying him as a clown. Because I am a Pakistani patriot, that hurts me a lot. I tried to tell her that you are playing with people’s emotions but she and her stupid friends humiliated me by using abusive language but I did not lost my patience. I tried to check her patience by calling her “lesbian” by commenting on a post on her page and that ignited a fire. Keep in mind that she is a great advocate of “homosexuality, adultery and fornication”. She couldn’t tolerate that and she and her open-minded, educated and liberal friends started abusing me by using taboo words for me and my family. After dozens of abusing comments on the same post, I posted a simple single comment that was enough to shut their vulgar mouths up.

My comment in summarize form was:

Your page is full of anti-Islam and anti-Pakistani posts in a very humiliating and abusing way but you couldn’t bear a single statement from me. What about my freedom of speech?

After that, she crossed her limits and posted a blasphemous video about Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and Jesus(peace be upon him)۔ The purpose of that video was to show that Muslims are emotional and become violent after watching blasphemous movie in a theater. Pages like Bhensa and others are the continuity of the conspiracy to make Pakistan a secular state by the highly educated liberals. 

These stupid people think that they have the right to abuse others faith and religious figures and they are free to do anything they want and they call it “Freedom of Speech and Expressions”. Actually, they are the masters of hate speech and most biased people with double standards.

کئی لوگ مجھ سے سوال کرتے ہیں کہ بھائی آپ تو مغرب کے  خلاف اتنا  زیادہ  لکھتے ہیں اور آپ تو فیس بک اور یوٹیوب کے اوپر لگنے والی پابندی کے بھی حق میں تھے تو اب آپ خود ہی فیس بک باقاعدگی سے استعمال کرتے ہیں اور گوگل کی دیگر مصنوعات  سے بھی استفادہ حاصل کررہے ہیں تو اس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ آپ کھلی منافقت کر رہے ہیں۔ بظاہر ان کی بات درست بھی معلوم ہوتی ہے کیونکہ میں نے فیس بک پر توہین آمیز خاکوں پر مبنی صفحات کے حوالے سے  زبانی اور تحریری طور پر کافی احتجاج بھی کیا تھا اور میں یوٹیوب کی بندش کا بھی حامی تھا۔

جب فیس بک پر سے پابندی ختم ہوئی تھی تو  کچھ لوگ جو پابندی کے حق میں نہ تھے کیونکہ انکے کچھ "خصوصی روابط" کھٹائی میں پڑ گئے تھے جس کی وجہ سے وہ بن آبی مچھلی کی طرح تڑپ رہے تھے ۔ وہ    لوگ  میری طرف دیکھ کر یا تو طنزیہ مسکرائے یا پھر کھل کر بے شرمی سے ہنسے کہ دیکھو جیت تو ہماری ہی ہوئی اور کچھ ہی دنوں میں فیس بک  کی سائٹ دوبارہ کھل گئی۔  مجھے واقعی اس وقت اپنی ہار کا شدید دکھ تھا کیونکہ فیس بک پر اس وقت بھی توہین آمیز صفحات موجود تھے۔

  مجھے اس بات کا دکھ اور زیادہ شدید تھا کہ ہماری نئی نسل کس دلدل میں دھنستی جا رہی ہے۔ ایک نوجوان سے بات ہوئی تو اس نے کہا کہ میرے تو زیادہ تر کاروباری گاہک فیس بک پر موجود تھے اور اب پابندی کی وجہ سے میں ان سے رابطہ نہیں کر پا رہا ہوں۔ دوسرے نوجوان نے کہا کہ میرے تو یونیورسٹی کے تما م ہم جماعت فیس بک پر تھے اب میں ان سے بات نہیں کر پا رہا۔ غرض ہر کوئی اپنا مدعا پیش کرتا رہا اور میں  یہ سوچتا رہا کہ یا الٰہی کسی کو بھی رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی حرمت کا احساس نہیں ہے۔ کسی کے دل میں بھی رسولِ  خدا  صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لیے تھوڑی سی بھی محبت باقی نہيں رہی ہے۔ حبِ رسول  صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم  کا تو تقاضا  یہ ہے کہ وہ ہمیں  ماں باپ سے بڑھ کر عزیز ہوں مگر نوجوانوں کو تو اپنے کاروباری اور دوستانہ روابط عزیز تھے۔ فیس بک بند ہونے سے تو انکی دنیا ہی اندھیری ہو گئی تھی  کیونکہ جڑے ہوئے دلوں میں دراڑ جو پڑگئی تھی۔ کئی لوگ تو اس بات سے پریشانی کا شکار تھے کہ جن با حیاء خواتین سے وہ پیار کی پینگیں بڑھا رہے تھے انکے تو موبائل نمبر  انکے پاس نہیں تھے اور فیس بک ہی ان کا آخری سہارہ تھا۔

پابندی ہٹنے کے کچھ عرصے بعد میں بھی  فیس بک پر نظر آنے لگا۔  یہ وہ موقع تھا جب  کچھ لوگ حیرت کے سمندر میں غوطے لگاتے رہ گئے، کچھ لوگوں نے مجھے خوش آمدید کہا اور کچھ لوگوں نے پہلے کی طرح اپنی جیت کا جشن منایا کہ دیکھو یہ وہی شخص ہے جو ہمیں منع کرتا تھا آج خود یہاں موجود ہے اور مجھے  "موسمی مولوی"   کا خطاب بھی عطا کردیا گیا۔

گزرتے دنوں کے ساتھ ساتھ مجھے یہ اندازہ ہوا کہ ٹیکنالوجی ایک ایسا سیلاب ہے جس کے آگے بند باندھنا تقریباً    ناممکن ہےمگر نوجوانوں کے ناپختہ ذہنوں کو شعور بخشا جاسکتا ہے۔ ان کو  کم   از کم وہ   راہ   ضرور دکھائی جاسکتی ہے جو ان کو حبِ رسول تک لے جائے یا پھر وہ مغرب کی کارستانیوں سے ضرور آگاہی حاصل کر لیں اور  کم از کم ان کو شعور کی سیڑھیاں چڑھنے کی دعوت ضرور دی جاسکتی ہے۔ انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی کے اس دور میں نوجوان معلومات کے سیلاب میں بہتے چلے جارہے ہیں ان کو معلومات اور علم میں تمیز کرنا سکھایا جا سکتا ہے جیسا کہ صحیح بخاری و مسلم سے پتہ چلتا ہے کہ علم اٹھالیا جائے گا اور  مسند احمد کی حدیث سے پتہ چلتا ہے کہ خط وکتابت اور تحریری مواد کی بہتات ہو گی۔

ان تما م اہداف کو حاصل کرنے کےلیے سماجی میڈیا سےزیادہ آسان اور بہتر پلیٹ فارم مجھے اور کوئی نظر نہیں آیا کیونکہ نوجوانوں کو اکثریت یہاں موجود ہے۔ کیونکہ آج کل نوجوان معلومات کے حصول کے لئے  کتب و رسائل سے زیادہ  انٹرنیٹ پر بھروسہ کرتے ہیں۔ اپنے مقاصد کو حاصل کرنے کے لیے میں نے مغرب کا ہتھیار انکے خلاف ہی استعمال کرنے کی منصوبہ بندی کی ۔  جس کا پہلا قدم یہ تھا کہ فیس بک کو  دعوت و تبلیغ کے لیے استعمال کیا جائے۔  میری فیس بک پر آمد کی وجہ یہی تھی اور الحمدللہ آج تک اپنے مشن سےپیچھے نہیں ہٹا۔

مغرب کے ہتھیارکو مغرب کے خلاف استعمال کرنے میں اور انکے بنائے ہوئے پلیٹ فارم پر  ان کو ہی شکست دینے میں   جو مزا ہے  وہ  کسی اور چیز میں مجھے حاصل نہیں ہوتا۔ مگر ڈر بس اس بات کا ہے اکیلے یہ جہاد ميں کب تک کر پاؤں گا۔ نا پائیدار زندگی نجانے کب تک ساتھ دے۔  اس وجہ سے ہر دن کو اپنا آخری دن سمجھ کر زیادہ سے زیادہ محنت کرنے کی کوشش کرتا ہوں کہ مرنے سے پہلے اتنا کر جاؤں کہ نوجوان اس سے کچھ استفادہ حاصل کر سکیں او رمیں انگلی  کٹوا کر شہیدوں میں نام لکھوا لوں۔
